My first "They didn't have those back then."

Tonight at bedtime, Lincoln asked for a story about when I was little. Because Lincoln had his shots for kindergarten yesterday, I told him what I remembered about getting my kindergarten shots. When I mentioned that I got a sucker, just like he did, he asked what color it was. I said "It was either red, orange, or pink." When I said "pink", he wrinkled his nose and said "Pink? They didn't have pink suckers back then!" I laughed at that and assured him that we did. Thankfully, suckers haven't changed. Now, I am wondering, if Lincoln doesn't think we had pink suckers "back then", what else does he think we did without. I guess time will tell. :)
